The vessel
Built from iron wood and teak
Malca is a traditional phinisi in Komodo Luxury's VIP class, built from iron wood and teak. The operator owns the boat outright and runs it with its own crew and maintenance team, so one company answers for the hull, the people aboard and your booking.
Seven cabins, each with a private bathroom, air conditioning and a sea view. Between anchorages there is a jacuzzi, a sunroof, a shaded deck and an indoor lounge with panoramic windows.

Reservations are handled by Komodo Luxury's desk in Labuan Bajo, not on this site.

Send a brief
Your dates, cabin or charter, and guest count, on WhatsApp or by email. Komodo Luxury replies within 24 hours.

Pay the deposit
Half secures the trip. Booking a year ahead, pay 30% now and the remaining 20% at 120 days out.

Clear the balance
Thirty days before departure, or in full if the trip is less than thirty days away.
The deposit is non-refundable. Cancel inside 30 days of departure and the full payment is forfeited, so fix your dates before you pay.

- Groups of 13 to 21
- One deck to yourselves. The private tier steps up at 13 guests, with a set charge for each guest above 18.
- Families of four
- The Quad Room Ocean View sleeps four on a double bunk, at USD 330 per person.
- Solo travellers
- A shared bunk in the Triple Room is USD 330. Three friends taking the whole cabin pay USD 300 each.
- Anyone who wants downtime
- Jacuzzi, sunroof, relax area and indoor lounge fill the hours between stops.
A couple wanting the whole boat still pays the 1–12 guest package, so a shared cabin is usually the better value unless privacy is the point of the trip.

Every trip starts in Labuan Bajo
On the western tip of Flores. Pick-up runs between 08:00 and 09:00 from hotels or the airport on the Labuan Bajo mainland, near the harbour.
