Who answers when you contact Malca Voyages?
Malca Voyages has no separate booking office. The 30-metre VIP phinisi is owned and operated by Komodo Luxury, part of Juara Holding Group. Komodo Luxury was founded in 2015. It is headquartered in Denpasar, Bali, and its operations base is in Labuan Bajo, as listed on Komodo Luxury (checked 2026-09-16). Crew, maintenance, departure calendars and payments all run through that one team.

Shared trips depart twice a week: Friday to Sunday and Monday to Wednesday. In October 2026 the weekend departures are 02-04, 09-11, 16-18, 23-25 and 30 October-01 November. Weekday departures are 05-07, 12-14, 19-21 and 26-28 October.

The boat has 7 cabins for 21 guests, all air-conditioned with private bathrooms. Komodo National Park fees are not included; they follow government regulation at the time of your trip.
How does booking work after you make contact?
- Send your details. WhatsApp or email with the seven points from the table above.
- Wait up to 24 hours. Komodo Luxury states its team replies within that window with availability and a quote.
- Pay the deposit. A 50% deposit secures the booking. The balance is due no later than 30 days before departure. Book inside 30 days and full payment is due at once.
- Booking a year ahead? The schedule changes to a 30% deposit, a further 20% at 120 days before departure, and the balance at 30 days.
- Confirm pick-up. For Malca, pick-up runs between 08:00 and 09:00 from your hotel or the airport on the Labuan Bajo mainland near the harbour. Other islands and Manjaga are not covered.
- Board in Labuan Bajo. The crew and guide take it from there. Routes can change for weather, field conditions or force majeure, and guests follow the guide.
Which policies should you read before paying?
- Deposits are non-refundable. A cancellation forfeits payment, though you may nominate a replacement person to take your place.
- Force majeure can change or cancel a trip without a refund.
- Bank charges are paid by the sender.
- Equipment: guests are liable for lost or damaged gear.
- Footage: raw drone, GoPro and mirrorless footage is included for guests. Komodo Luxury records trips and may use the footage for promotion.
- Not included: Komodo National Park fees, the optional park drone permit, crew gratuities, flights, personal expenses, alcoholic and soft drinks, and personal snacks.
