Sailing Komodo aboard Malca means flying into Labuan Bajo, a pick-up between 08:00 and 09:00, then a 3D2N loop past Kelor, Padar, Pink Beach, Komodo Island, Manta Point and Taka Makassar.

  • Park fees are never in the fare. They follow the government regulation in force on your travel date.
  • A late arrival shortens a private trip. Komodo Luxury cannot extend a booked duration to make up lost time.
  • Only the 3D2N has a published day plan. Shorter and longer trips are set with the reservations desk.

All seven cabins are air-conditioned with a private bathroom. The Master Ocean View sleeps four and is the only one with a private balcony.

Pick-up covers hotels and the airport on the Labuan Bajo mainland near the harbour, not other islands or the Manjaga area. Landing the afternoon before is the low-stress choice, because a late arrival shortens a private trip rather than extending it.

Packing

Komodo Luxury's own list, in four groups

It fits a soft bag. Hard cases are awkward in a cabin.

Sun

Sunblock, sunglasses and a beach hat. There is very little shade on Padar or the Komodo trail.

Water and trails

Swimsuit, hiking sandals and a dry bag. The treks are short but steep and loose underfoot.

Connected

A power bank and a Telkomsel SIM. Signal is patchy once the boat is inside the park.

Health

Personal medicine, toiletries and wet wipes. Snacks and supplements too, if you are particular.
